Wemyss Malts (pronounced "Weyms' Malts") is an exceptional independent bottler originating from Scotland. Founded in 2005 by siblings William and Isabella Wemyss, this house continues a rich family tradition linked to the prestigious history of Scottish whisky. Indeed, their ancestors witnessed the birth of the first distillery on their lands in the Kingdom of Fife as early as 1840, a region renowned for its rich barley terroirs of excellence. For several decades, the family land has been a privileged source of superior quality barley, supplying maltsters and distillers with noble and natural ingredients. Passionate about his experience with master wine blenders from southern France, William Wemyss wished to create unique Scottish whiskies, both bold and sophisticated. Isabella Wemyss, recognized for her keen sense of quality, rigorously selects Scottish Single Malts and the best casks from renowned wine regions worldwide. Thanks to the mastery and expertise of their Master Blender, these precious elements are enhanced to give birth to innovative and exceptional creations.
The Single Cask collection from Wemyss is designed so that each cask bottled is the perfect reflection of the distinctive characteristics of its region of origin. The name given to each whisky has been carefully chosen to evoke the unique aromas and flavors revealed in each bottle, thus offering an unforgettable tasting experience to the most demanding enthusiasts.
