Le Clos des Spiritueux proudly presents the Arran Malt Single Malt Whisky, an iconic distillery located on the beautiful Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland. Founded in 1995 in Lochranza, near the crystal-clear source of Loch na Davie, this artisanal distillery combines tradition and innovation to create an exceptional range of whiskies.
Initially, the grist used was purchased externally, but today, an integrated mill ensures optimal quality by controlling the entire milling process. The Arran Single Malt is renowned for its unique, fresh, and tangy profile, a distinct flavor resulting from the controlled slow distillation in its unique stills.
For this rare Cask Strength expression, the whisky first rested for 7 years in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, enhancing its vanilla and woody notes. It is then transferred for secondary maturation for an additional 2 years in small Quarter Cask barrels (125 liters), crafted from premium American oak, which significantly intensifies the interaction between the wood and the spirit, accelerating maturation and amplifying aromatic complexity.
This process produces a whisky that is both powerful and refined, revealing rich aromas, a perfect balance between sweetness and character, while remaining true to Scottish tradition.
