Chairman’s Reserve is an exceptional rum crafted by the prestigious St. Lucia Distillers Group Ltd, located on the paradisiacal island of Saint Lucia, heart of the Caribbean. The Barnard family’s story began in the 1930s when they settled on this tropical island and founded a renowned distillery, utilizing molasses from the vast local sugarcane plantations. Facing competition from European sugar beet, Saint Lucia’s sugar industry gradually declined, leading to the merger of the last two distilleries into a powerful joint venture: St. Lucia Distillers. It is thanks to the vision and passion of Laurie Barnard that Chairman's Reserve rum was born, proudly carrying forward the tradition and excellence of Saint Lucian rum. Since the closure of the sugar plantations in the 1960s, the distillery has sourced rich molasses from British Guiana, thus ensuring the quality and authenticity of its product.

Chairman’s Reserve 2009 is a refined blend of vintage aged rums, 11 years old, distilled using traditional pot stills (John Dore 2 and Vendôme) and high-end Coffey still columns. These rums are carefully aged separately for 11 years in oak barrels that previously held Bourbon, imparting rich and complex aromas. Once precisely blended, they mature for several more months in casks to perfect their harmony and offer a unique tasting experience combining finesse, depth, and balance. This vintage rum is a must-have for connoisseurs of exceptional spirits seeking authenticity and character.
