The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the prestigious Alsace wine region. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a renowned distiller, this family business has preserved a recognized artisanal expertise for over a century. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling for the first time a delicate wild raspberry eau-de-vie, whose finesse charmed the Queen of Sweden, making the distillery the official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, boosted the house's reputation by forging excellent partnerships with French haute cuisine, collaborating notably with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and iconic restaurants like La Tour d’Argent. In response to exponential growth, a new modern distillery was established in 1979 to meet increasing international demand. Today, the brand is distributed in over 110 countries and offers a diverse range of exceptional spirits. In 2010, Massenez Distillery joined the Grandes Distilleries Peureux group, led by Bernard Baud, known for his famous Griottines.
