GLENFARCLAS - 21 years - 43% ABV
The Glenfarclas distillery, emblematic of the Speyside region in Scotland, is located in Ballindalloch, an area renowned for its exceptional whiskies. Since before 1791, this family-run distillery has upheld traditional craftsmanship, with an official license obtained in 1836 under the direction of Robert Hay. The acquisition by John Grant in 1865 marked the beginning of a family adventure that continues to this day, with Glenfarclas still owned and operated by his descendants. In 2007, the house launched The Family Casks, a prestigious collection of 43 Single Cask bottlings, including one vintage per year from 1952 to 1994. This exclusive series extended until 2001, although stocks of casks from 1952 and 1953 are now depleted.
Glenfarclas 21 years benefits from full maturation in Oloroso Sherry casks, giving this whisky an exceptional aromatic richness. It is distinguished by its full and rounded texture, evolving harmoniously towards subtle fruity and spicy notes, offering a refined and balanced tasting experience.
