NEISSON - Tatanka Collection - Old Rum - The Blue Rocking Chair - Vintage 2014 - Distillery Edition 2018 - 45%
Tatanka is a renowned artisanal company based in Martinique, specializing in the creation of hand-painted artworks on various unique supports. Since 1996, a talented Martinican artist has been drawing directly on glass in an authentic naive art style, bringing to life bottles that depict iconic scenes from the distillery's life. These works are a true tribute to the passionate work of the men and women who contribute to the making of the prestigious Neisson rums. For each special edition, three new illustrations are offered, enriching the visual and cultural story of each vintage.
The Neisson Distillery, located in the heart of Le Carbet in Martinique, has a rich history since its founding in 1932 by the Neisson brothers. Jean Neisson, a chemical engineer by training, dedicated his life to optimizing distillation techniques to produce exceptional rums. Today, this expertise is carried on by his descendants, Claudine and then her son Grégory, who have modernized and developed the brand with passion. Committed to a sustainable approach, the distillery began its transition to certified organic farming in 2013, resulting in the launch in 2016 of the first organic AOC Martinique rum. Today, more than 40 hectares of farmland follow this nature-respecting model.
After years of research and innovation, Neisson exclusively uses its own strains of indigenous yeasts selected from those naturally present on the sugar canes grown in its plantations. This expertise, combined with a reasoned choice of varieties adapted to each plot, as well as economical irrigation management and efficient effluent treatment, guarantees the production of high-end agricultural rums in perfect harmony with the natural ecosystem of the distillery's lands.
This exceptional old rum from the 2014 vintage bears the evocative name "Le Rocking Chair", a symbol of tradition, comfort, and timeless know-how.
