WEMYSS - Edinburgh Rock - Glen Keith - Vintage 1995 - 22 years - 46% ABV
Wemyss Malts (pronounced "Weyms' Malts") is a renowned independent Scottish whisky bottler based in Scotland. Founded in 2005 by enthusiasts William and Isabella Wemyss, this family business maintains a unique heritage linked to the history of Scottish whisky since their ancestors, notably Haig, established the first distillery on their lands located in the prestigious Kingdom of Fife as early as 1840. The plots of land used for growing high-quality barley have been cultivated for decades, thus ensuring excellent raw materials destined for the best maltsters to create exceptional whiskies. Drawing on his experience with master wine blenders in southern France, William Wemyss was inspired to craft Scottish whiskies that are both bold and distinctive. As for Isabella Wemyss, her sensitivity and high standards allow her to select precious Scottish Single Malts and the best casks from world-renowned wine regions. Together, with the support of their experienced Master Blenders, they transform these rare ingredients into unique, flavorful, and refined creations.
The Single Cask collection from Wemyss Malts has been specially designed so that each selected and bottled cask is representative of the exceptional characteristics specific to each region. The name given to each whisky thus embodies the distinctive aromas and unique flavors found in every bottle, guaranteeing an authentic and memorable tasting experience.
