Wemyss Malts (pronounced "Weyms' Malts") is an independent Scottish bottler, renowned for its exceptional whiskies. Founded in 2005 by siblings William and Isabella Wemyss, this house draws its roots from the very history of Scottish whisky. Indeed, the Wemyss family is linked to the creation of the first distillery on their lands in the Kingdom of Fife in 1840, when Haig established its iconic facility there. For decades, these fertile lands have cultivated superior quality barley, selected by the best maltsters for exceptional whisky. Inspired by his experience with master wine blenders in southern France, William Wemyss aimed to create Scottish whiskies that are both bold and distinctive. As for Isabella Wemyss, endowed with a keen sense of quality, she carefully selects Single Malts from Scotland and the best casks from around the world. Thanks to the expertise of their trusted Master Blender, they elevate these precious ingredients into unique creations, rich in flavor and character.
The Single Cask collection was designed so that each cask specially chosen for bottling is a true expression of the unique qualities of its region of origin. Each whisky bears an evocative name that faithfully reflects the exceptional aromas and flavors contained in the bottle.
