Elixir Distillers was founded as Speciality Drinks in 1999 by the visionary brothers Sukhinder and Raj Singh, who also created the famous online sales site Whisky Exchange the same year. In 2017, the company adopted its current name, Elixir Distillers, to better reflect its commitment to exceptional spirits. The Elements of Islay collection represents a prestigious series of Islay Single Malt whiskies, crafted by Elixir Distillers since 2008, highlighting the richness and diversity of the iconic distilleries of this world-renowned Scottish island.
Each whisky in this range is rigorously selected with the utmost care, bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added coloring, and without age statement to preserve the authenticity and integrity of the final product. These limited editions come either from a single exceptional cask or from specific batches combining between five and twenty casks from a single distillery, aiming to faithfully capture and reflect the unique and typical character of each of the famous Islay Malt distilleries. The name given to each bottling is a symbolic chemical version inspired by the distillery's name, with successive versions numbered to indicate the evolution and rarity of each expression.
LG11 is a refined blend made from four carefully selected casks: two Lagavulin 2007 casks aged for 14 years, accompanied by two other casks from the same year, aged 8 years before resting in glass to preserve their liveliness and aromatic freshness. This exceptional cuvée stands out for its aromatic power and perfect balance. Only 1,067 bottles were produced, making this whisky a rare and sought-after treasure.
