Founded in 2005 by siblings William and Isabella Wemyss, this house is rooted in a family tradition linked to the prestigious history of Scottish whisky. Indeed, the Wemyss family has deep roots with the Haig distillery, the first distillery built in 1840 on their lands located in the Kingdom of Fife. This region is known for the exceptional quality of its barley, cultivated for generations and used by the best maltsters to produce outstanding whiskies.
William Wemyss's experience in blending wines from southern France allowed him to develop a bold and innovative approach, giving rise to unique Scottish whiskies rich in character. As for Isabella Wemyss, her sharp sensory expertise enables her to rigorously select Single Malts from Scotland and the best casks from around the world. Thanks to the mastery and talent of their Master Blenders, these exceptional ingredients are transformed into original, refined, and flavorful creations.
The Single Cask collection has been carefully crafted to ensure that each cask bottled is a perfect ambassador of the unique organoleptic characteristics of its region of origin. The name given to each whisky faithfully reflects the distinctive aromas and flavors found in every bottle, for an unforgettable tasting experience.
