The famous Foursquare distillery, founded in 1996 by the Seale family, is located in the southeast of the paradisiacal island of Barbados. Although it is one of the youngest distilleries in the Caribbean, it quickly established itself as a key reference thanks to its technological avant-gardism. Its distillation processes combine tradition and innovation, using a double column with 40 plates as well as an exceptional double retort pot still equipped with a small additional column. A remarkable feature of Foursquare lies in the fact that the blends of distillates from the columns and the pot still are made directly in barrels, giving its rums a unique aromatic complexity.
Despite its recent creation, this distillery embodies the vision of a true rum purist, Richard Seale, who refuses any artificial addition to his raw material, thus guaranteeing products of exceptional quality and uncompromising authenticity.
