SAVANNA - White Rum - Herr Blanc 57 - 57%
Originally, Domaine Savanna, located in Saint-Paul at the foot of the majestic mountains of Réunion Island, began its activity as a sugar factory in the early 19th century. The Savanna distillery was established a little later, between 1948 and 1950, thanks to the ambitious vision of Émile Hugot. This engineer from the École Centrale des Arts et Manufactures in Paris became a major international figure in the sugar industry. Since 1982, thanks to a strategic contract, the Savanna distillery has committed to elevating the quality of its productions to the high-end rum segment, an excellence that earned it the distinction of being the first European distillery certified ISO 9002, guaranteeing a rigorous and globally recognized manufacturing standard.
This Herr Blanc 57% rum from Savanna is a true "High Ester Rhum Réunion," indicating a high ester content, aromatic compounds responsible for its intense and complex flavor profile. The uniqueness of this rum lies in its exceptional fermentation, with a prolonged duration of up to 11 days, allowing the development of rich and refined aromas. The vesou is then distilled in a traditional pot still, an emblematic method reminiscent of the typical Jamaican rums known for their high ester concentration linked to this type of distillation. This approach combines both tradition and innovation, highlighting Savanna's avant-garde mastery of prolonged and advanced fermentation to offer a unique sensory experience to lovers of exceptional rums.
