Manutea is a prestigious brand of organic white rums, carefully crafted in Tahiti, French Polynesia. Founded in 1984, Manutea Tahiti stands out for its artisanal production of authentic spirits made from pineapple, ginger, and orange, sourced from the same production site as the company Jus de Fruits de Moorea. The O’Tahiti variety sugarcane is grown under ideal conditions at the Domaine Pari Pari in Tahaa and on the remarkable Hotu Fenua plots in Moorea. Harvested by hand at optimal freshness, it is immediately crushed on site without adding water, thus ensuring the purity of the vesou before fermentation. Loaded aboard traditional schooners, the vesou leaves the Leeward Islands (Raromatai) to reach the Manutea Tahiti distillery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Rotui, between the magnificent bays of Cook and Opunohu. Distillation is carried out in a handcrafted copper still, ensuring superior quality. The resulting rum is carefully rested and then reduced to reveal all the richness and finesse of the aromas of an exceptional Polynesian terroir.
Committed since 2018 to an eco-responsible approach, the Manutea Tahiti distillery has obtained its organic certification, a guarantee of quality and respect for the environment.
