Launched in 2008, Tequila Ocho is the result of a collaboration between Carlos Camarena , a third-generation tequilero master, and Tomas Estes , an international tequila ambassador. Together, they created a range of tequilas that showcase the expression of terroir through single-plot harvests of ripe Weber blue agave .
This special vintage is the result of a unique collaboration with the Widow Jane distillery in New York. Produced from overripe agaves harvested at Rancho El Nacimiento , it is then aged for 12 months in 600-liter bourbon barrels from Widow Jane. This unique process gives this tequila a remarkable aromatic richness, halfway between Mexican traditions and the influence of American whiskey.
" The nose reveals a beautiful balance of warm caramel, bourbon vanilla, and dried fruits, with a discreet oaky depth. On the palate, roasted agave asserts itself, accompanied by notes of sweet spices, toasted wood, and dark honey. The finish is full and spicy, marked by pepper, oak tannins, and a subtle hint of candied cherry. A distinguished tasting tequila that will appeal to both bourbon and fine spirit lovers."
