TEQUILA - OCHO - Vintage 2024 - Blanco - Las Raices - 40%
The Tequila Ocho is meticulously crafted in the heart of Mexico, the birthplace of this iconic spirit. Founded in 2008 by Carlos Camarena, a passionate farmer from five generations dedicated to agave, and supported by Tomas Estes, a pioneer who introduced tequila to the European market, this brand embodies authenticity and excellence. Each bottle of Tequila Ocho celebrates a unique terroir through the exclusive use of blue Weber agave plants, ensuring a pure and authentic expression of the product.
Las Raíces (the roots), an exceptional terroir located just 7.5 km east of Los Alambiques, stretches over a gentle hill facing due south, reaching an altitude of 2180 meters. The property is naturally divided by a small forest of ash, oak, and poplar trees, creating an ideal microclimate for agave cultivation. The soil, composed of red clay rich in iron and potassium, typical of the highlands of Los Altos, enriches the plants with essential minerals. In 25 years, the agave has been replanted only twice, ensuring exceptional concentration. With its 142,000 mature blue agave plants, this ranch is the largest ever cultivated for Tequila Ocho production, guaranteeing unmatched quality and aromatic richness.
