Patrón is a prestigious brand of premium Tequila produced in Mexico. The Patrón Spirits Company, based in Las Vegas, was founded in 1989 by John Paul DeJoria, a visionary entrepreneur who rose from hardship to success, also co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, a leader in hair care products. In January 2018, the Bacardi group became the owner of this iconic house, thus strengthening its portfolio of high-end spirits.
The Patrón Tequila is made from blue Weber agaves, known for their exceptional richness in natural sugars, ensuring superior quality and a unique flavor. Only the central part of the plant, the heart called "piña," is carefully harvested. After meticulous manual cutting, the piñas are slowly cooked in a brick oven, ensuring even cooking and optimal aroma development. They are then crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona wheel, followed by refinement using a traditional grinding stone, an ancestral method promoting perfect extraction. The mixture from this process undergoes a natural fermentation of three days before a precise double distillation, guaranteeing purity and finesse. For Patrón Reposado, aging in handcrafted white oak barrels brings incomparable aromatic complexity, offering a perfect balance between smoothness and character.
