Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - Blossoming Auld Sherried - L3358 - 45%
The independent bottler and master blender Michel Couvreur is renowned for his unique expertise combining Burgundian tradition and Scottish whisky passion. Originally a producer and wine merchant from Burgundy, he turned to the world of whisky in 1978, distilling for the first time at the Edradour distillery in 1986. His ambition was to acquire a distillery in Scotland, but faced with his wife's opposition, he decided to settle in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, a strategic location halfway between Scotland and Andalusia, to dedicate himself exclusively to the aging and meticulous finishing of whiskies. Specialized in Sherry and Port casks, this unique choice gives the whiskies an incomparable aromatic depth. The range offered by Michel Couvreur is rich and diverse, the result of rigorous blending, careful selection of rare casks, and constant innovation in finishing techniques. Since Michel Couvreur's death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have passionately and respectfully continued this legacy of excellence.
Blossoming Auld Sherried is a whisky aged for about 15 years in top-quality Sherry casks, which gives it aromatic richness, notes of dried fruits, mild spices, and a smooth creaminess that delight the most demanding connoisseurs.
