Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - Overaged Malt Whisky - 43%
The independent bottler Michel Couvreur originally was a renowned producer and merchant of Burgundy wine. Since 1978, he passionately ventured into the world of whisky, beginning distillation in 1986 at the famous Edradour distillery. Initially wishing to acquire a distillery in Scotland, he ultimately chose with his family to settle in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, a strategic location halfway between Scotland and Andalusia. There he perfected the aging of exceptional whiskies in Sherry and Port casks. His prestigious range stands out by rigorous selection, meticulous blending, and innovative techniques, giving birth to whiskies with complex and refined aromas. Since his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra passionately and skillfully continue Michel Couvreur's legacy.
Overaged is a unique blend of malt whiskies aged between 12 and 20 years, carefully finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This rare and sought-after edition is bottled at 43%, ensuring a perfect balance between sweetness and character.
