Hontambère - RAC Spirits - Armagnac Ténarèze - 1980 - Ugni Blanc - Single Cask #A10 - Pouchégu - 80 bottles - 45.4%
The Hontambère Distillery is located in Castelnau d'Auzan, in the Ténarèze region in the heart of Armagnac . Under the direction of Cindy Crighton and Sylvain Lafargue , oenologist, distiller and cellar master, the distillery produces its eaux-de-vie from its vineyard planted with the four main grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Baco, Colombard and Folle Blanche. The grape brandy is distilled in a century-old Armagnac still. In addition to its own production, Hontambère has enriched its heritage by acquiring old stocks from Domaine Pouchégu, including various vintages that testify to the historical richness of Armagnac.
This Armagnac Ténazère is produced from the Ugni Blanc grape variety distilled in 1980. It was aged for 45 years in a single barrel (#A10) in a dry cellar. 80 bottles were produced.
