Armagnac Laterrade - 15 years - Brut de Fût - 40%
Laterrade is a renowned brand of independent bottling specializing in high-quality Armagnac. Vincent Laterrade, born in Vic-Fezensac, in the heart of the Ténarèze in Armagnac, has leveraged his experience as a former sommelier to discover small local artisanal producers. Passionate, he partnered with two knowledgeable enthusiasts to found L’Encantada, a house offering rare vintage armagnacs from confidential and little-known estates. Vincent quickly became a true hunter of exceptional armagnacs, developing a unique collection of vintage crus. Later, he collaborated with the Fitte family, owners of the prestigious Château de Herrebouc in Vic-Fezensac, allowing him access to armagnac barrels aged from 10 to over 50 years. His philosophy remains unchanged: to select only vintage armagnacs from a single estate, without any alcohol reduction, blending, or manipulation, thus guaranteeing total purity and authenticity. After the dissolution of their partnership, Vincent finally convinced Stéphane de Luze to entrust him with an old barn on the Château de Briat estate, which he transformed into a modern cellar respectful of traditions. Now, the barrels belong exclusively to him and his eaux-de-vie proudly bear the Clos des Spiritueux label. Each spirit is sourced exclusively from regional producers, carefully bottled using bottles supplied by a local glassmaker. The labels, made from local rag paper, the French wax, and the boxes made from French tree wood, testify to his environmental and artisanal commitment.
This exceptional armagnac is aged for 15 years in French oak barrels from the preserved forests of Gascony, imparting elegance, aromatic complexity, and remarkable gustatory depth, ideal for discerning enthusiasts seeking an authentic and rare spirit.
