TALISKER - Wilder Seas x Parley - Limited Edition - 48.6%
The Talisker Distillery is located in Carbost, in the heart of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Founded in 1831, it owes its origin to the MacAskill brothers who established their distillery at Talisker House, in the Carbost settlement, on the wild west coast of Skye. This historic building, gifted by the chief of the MacLeod clan, testifies to the strong link between the distillery and the MacLeod clan that still endures today. After the sale to the Distillers Company in 1825, Talisker became a cornerstone of Diageo's Classic Malt collection. With its five operating stills, the distillery produces about 2 million liters of alcohol per year, using pure water from the crystalline springs of the Cuillin Hills, iconic mountains overlooking the distillery. Due to the poor soils of Skye, the malted barley is mainly grown in the Muir of Ord region, located 20 km west of Inverness on the Scottish mainland.
This limited edition Talisker was born from an exclusive collaboration with Parley for the Oceans, a global environmental organization founded in 2012 by Cyrill Gutsch. Parley actively works to protect the oceans by raising awareness about marine plastic pollution and developing innovative solutions. The initiative transforms intercepted marine plastic waste into high-end materials, thus promoting a sustainable approach. This unique whisky was matured in Cognac XO casks, offering remarkable aromatic complexity, subtly blending maritime character with fruity and amber notes.
