The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of Alsace, a region renowned for its rich artisanal expertise in spirits. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, this family distillery continues a century-old tradition of excellence. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling for the first time an exceptional wild raspberry eau-de-vie, which notably charmed the Queen of Sweden, elevating the Massenez Distillery to the status of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, expanded the house's reputation by forging prestigious partnerships with haute cuisine, collaborating with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and iconic establishments like La Tour d’Argent. In response to this sustained growth, a new modern distillery was established in 1979 to meet international demand. Today, the brand is present in more than 110 countries and offers a diverse range of exceptional products. In 2010, Massenez Distillery joined forces with the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, known on the other side of the Vosges for their famous Griottines. This collaboration, led by Bernard Baud, President of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, brings new momentum while rigorously respecting the authenticity and unique DNA of the Massenez house.
A liqueur is a spirit composed of neutral alcohol, sweetened and carefully flavored to offer a rich and balanced tasting experience. The fruit cream belongs to the large family of liqueurs, with an essential specificity related to its sugar content. The main distinction between a classic liqueur and a fruit cream lies in the sugar level: a liqueur must have a minimum sugar content of 100 g\/L with an alcohol concentration between 15% and 55%. When the sugar content exceeds 250 g\/L, it is then called "creams."
