Massenez Distillery - Lavender Liqueur - 25%
The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the emblematic region of Alsace, renowned for its ancestral distillation expertise. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, this family business has upheld a tradition of excellence for several generations. In 1913, Eugène Massenez, the founder's son, innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, an exceptional product quickly favored by the Queen of Sweden, which elevated the distillery to the status of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, expanded the distillery's fame by signing prestigious partnerships with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and legendary restaurants like La Tour d’Argent. To meet growing demand, a new distillery was established in 1979, enabling rapid international expansion, now present in over 110 countries. In 2010, Massenez Distillery partnered with the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, whose president Bernard Baud, a symbol of recognized expertise notably for the famous Griottines, brought renewed dynamism while preserving the authenticity and unique DNA of the House.
A liqueur is characterized by a neutral alcohol base, carefully flavored and sweetened. Fruit cream belongs to the broad family of liqueurs but is mainly distinguished by its high sugar content. Indeed, every liqueur must contain at least 100 g\/L of sugar and have an alcohol content between 15% and 55%. Liqueurs with sugar content exceeding 250 g\/L are classified as "creams." These refined products are particularly prized for making sophisticated cocktails, but also enjoyed as digestifs or incorporated into gourmet recipes to enhance dishes.
