Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1981 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is located at the prestigious Lasdoux estate, in the charming commune of Angeac, the heart of the Cognac appellation in Charentes. Founded in 1860, when Alexandre Lhéraud first planted vines in his garden, this family house today continues an exceptional winemaking tradition. The estate covers 85 hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards spread over two of the six prestigious Cognac crus, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, known for its excellent chalky terroirs. The Lhéraud family masters the art of aging through five cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels rest peacefully, ensuring natural and optimal maturation. Furthermore, from Lannepax in Gers, Maison Lhéraud offers a refined range of Armagnacs under the Baron Gaston Legrand label. These exceptional Armagnacs result from a simple distillation, carried out on dry white wines from the renowned terroirs of Ténarèze, using a traditional column still, ensuring unmatched purity and aromatic richness.
