The High West distillery is located in Wanship, Utah, in the heart of the United States. Founded in 2006 by David Perkins and his wife Jane, this family distillery relies on David's scientific expertise, a former biochemist. His interest in biochemistry and the similarities between fermentation and distillation arose during a trip to a Kentucky distillery, which inspired him to create his own whiskey house. In 2004, the Perkins family settled in Park City, Utah to launch the business, beginning distillation in 2007. Today, the talented Master Distiller Brendan Coyle rigorously and passionately oversees the production of High West whiskeys, recognized worldwide for their unique know-how and innovation.
Double Rye! is a subtle and harmonious blend of two rye whiskeys aged at least 3 years. The first is a young column-distilled whiskey, sourced directly by High West, bringing freshness and liveliness to the composition. The second, older, is pot-distilled in a still adjacent to the distillery. This double combination gives this whiskey exceptional complexity and a unique aromatic power.
