Journeyman - Featherbone Bourbon - 45%
The Journeyman Distillery is ideally located in Three Oaks, near Chicago, in the heart of Michigan, United States. Founded on a rich and passionate history, this craft distillery is led by Bill Welter, a former top-level golfer who graduated in 2000 from Missouri State University, who has successfully combined tradition and innovation. His professional journey took him to Saint Andrews, Scotland, the birthplace of golf and whisky, where he met Greg Ramsay from Tasmania. Together, they developed a passion for Scottish whisky, forging a long friendship and unique expertise.
Back in the United States in 2001 to join the family business, Bill continued to cultivate his expertise by working alongside master distiller Robert Birnecker. Their collaboration gave birth to the first rye whisky distillation in Ravenswood, Chicago, before Bill and Chuck Welter acquired the central part of the historic Featherbone factory, thus founding the renowned Journeyman distillery.
The Journeyman distillery is proudly recognized as one of the few organic-certified distilleries in the United States. It guarantees the production of exceptional organic spirits, made without any synthetic fertilizers, artificial pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, growth hormones, or genetically modified organisms, fully respecting the strictest standards in sustainable agriculture and eco-responsibility.
Featherbone is an exceptional Bourbon Whiskey, crafted from a carefully balanced recipe including 70% organic corn, 25% organic wheat, and 5% organic rye. This unique composition gives this bourbon aromatic richness, a velvety texture, and unparalleled depth.
