The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland. Founded in 1967, this distillery produced its first whisky in February 1968 with an initial capacity of nearly three million liters of alcohol per year. After a period of inactivity starting in 1985, GlenAllachie was revived when Campbell Distillers (later becoming part of the Pernod Ricard group) acquired the rights, restarting production on April 24, marking the beginning of 29 consecutive years of crafting exceptional whiskies. Nicknamed "The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky," GlenAllachie quickly gained notable renown. In 2005, Chivas Brothers launched a special GlenAllachie Single Malt edition in the highly sought-after Cask Edition series. Since 2017, under the expert leadership of Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson, the distillery has been independent and managed by The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, combining over a century of expertise and experience in the whisky industry to offer products of remarkable quality and authenticity.
GlenAllachie 12 years Ruby Port Finish belongs to the famous Wood Finish range, known for its unique cask finishes that enhance the malt's aromas. This elegant single malt was aged for 10 years in traditional American oak casks before being carefully finished in Ruby Port casks, bringing richness, sweetness, and aromatic complexity. This finishing process gives it a flavor profile rich in intense fruity notes and subtle hints of red fruits and spices, offering an unparalleled tasting experience for whisky enthusiasts.
