The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland, renowned for its exceptional whiskies. Founded in 1967, this distillery began production in February 1968 with an impressive capacity of nearly three million liters of alcohol per year. After a period of inactivity starting in 1985, it was acquired by Campbell Distillers, a future entity of the Pernod Ricard group, and production resumed on April 24th, marking the beginning of 29 continuous years of manufacturing. Known then as The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky, GlenAllachie built a solid reputation. In 2005, Chivas Brothers introduced a special GlenAllachie Single Malt edition in their renowned Cask Edition series. Since 2017, the distillery has been owned by the expert trio Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson, partners who founded The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, bringing over 100 years of expertise and passion in the whisky industry.
The GlenAllachie 12 years old represents the very essence of the collection, first launched in mid-2018. This single malt was carefully crafted from rigorously selected casks and bottled under the exacting direction of Master Distiller Billy Walker. Its unique maturation subtly combines Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Virgin Oak casks, imparting complex, rich, and balanced aromas that delight connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
