Père Labat - Vintage 2004 - 45%
Père Labat is a prestigious brand of agricole rums from the paradisiacal island of Marie-Galante, a jewel of the Guadeloupe archipelago. The exceptional history of the Poisson distillery dates back to the 18th century, when Madame Poisson acquired an estate that was then just a simple traditional sugar mill on this island renowned for the quality of its sugarcane. At the turn of the 20th century, Mr. Rameau, a visionary new owner, initiated a technical revolution by investing in a still and a red copper Creole column, instruments of exceptional artisanal distillation. These developments profoundly transformed the Poisson Estate, which thus evolved from a simple sugar mill to a renowned distillery, heralding the birth of exceptional rums.
To honor a true pioneer and innovator in the art of distilling fresh cane wine, the house decided to name its flagship range "les rhums du Père Labat." These agricole rums, crafted with traditional know-how and respectful of ancestral methods, today embody the excellence and aromatic richness characteristic of the great terroir rums of Marie-Galante.
