The Bruichladdich Distillery is ideally located on the iconic island of Islay, in Scotland, world-renowned for its exceptional whiskies. It produces Single Malt whiskies under three prestigious labels: Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte, and Octomore. Besides whisky, the distillery also produces the famous The Botanist Gin, known for its quality and refinement. Founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, the distillery has endured history with passion and resilience. After family conflicts, William Harvey took over until a major fire in 1934, followed by his death in 1936. The distillery changed owners several times over the decades and was unfortunately closed in 1994. However, in 2000, Bruichladdich was reborn thanks to a group of visionary investors led by Mark Reynier of Murray McDavid, also known for his Waterford whiskeys in Ireland. The distillery was completely dismantled and then carefully rebuilt, preserving its Victorian-era equipment and favoring traditional methods, including a gravity-fed production process without reliance on computer automation. In 2012, it joined the prestigious Rémy Cointreau group, further strengthening its position in the global market. Bruichladdich distillery places particular emphasis on the traceability and quality of the barley used, a key factor in its excellence.

The Bruichladdich range is known for its non-peated whiskies, while the intensely peated expressions are marketed under the Port Charlotte label, and the Octomore series stands out with its limited editions featuring the highest peat levels in the Single Malt world, appealing to enthusiasts seeking unique and bold tasting experiences.

The Octomore 10.1 was distilled in 2013 from Scottish barley harvested in 2012, of the carefully selected Concerto variety. This exceptional whisky was aged for 5 years in first-fill American barrels that previously held renowned whiskies such as Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace, and Jack Daniels, offering rare aromatic complexity. This exclusive edition is limited to only 42,000 bottles, ensuring its unique and sought-after character.
