MONTEBELLO - White Agricultural Rum - 1 Liter Bottle - 50% ABV
Montebello rum is an exceptional agricultural rum, crafted by the prestigious Carrère distillery, located in Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe. Renowned for its traditional expertise, the Carrère distillery, also known as the Montebello distillery, takes its name from the local district where it has been established since 1930. Founded by the Dolomie family, this emblematic house continues a legacy of distilling excellence. Since December 2011, Grégory and Dominique Marsolle have passionately ensured the continuity and innovation of the family business.
A pioneer in sustainable development, the distillery committed in 2012 to the full recycling of residues from sugarcane crushing. The dry bagasse, a sugarcane residue, is used as a natural fuel to produce the steam powering the presses, demonstrating a unique eco-responsible approach in the world of agricultural rums.
The Montebello white rum stands out by exclusively using hand-harvested canes. These canes come from the rich and fertile volcanic soils of the emblematic regions of Petit-Bourg, Goyave, Basse-Terre, Lamentin, and Sainte-Rose, true exceptional terroirs that give the rum its unique character and authenticity. Moreover, Montebello is proud to be one of the last distilleries in the Caribbean to use traditional steam machines, a guarantee of artisanal production respectful of ancestral methods.
Choosing Montebello rum means opting for a premium product, reflecting Guadeloupean heritage, combining intense flavors, finesse, and sustainable expertise. Discover this exceptional white agricultural rum on our site Clos des Spiritueux, your reference for rare and authentic spirits.
