The Muscovado sugar, the key ingredient of this rum, comes from sugarcane grown in the fields of the prestigious Saint-Aubin distillery, located on the island of Mauritius. This specialty results from a meticulous artisanal process: freshly pressed juices are slowly heated to eliminate water by evaporation and concentrate the natural sugar. Thanks to its richness in molasses, this unrefined sugar has a powerful, authentic, and characteristic flavor. This muscovado sugar is then shipped to Charente, where it is carefully distilled in a small Stupfler still, a guarantee of quality and artisanal excellence. The result is a bold and unique white rum, with fresh, vegetal, and soft notes, which clearly stands out from traditional white rums, offering a unique and refined tasting experience.
