The Damoiseau Distillery is an iconic rum distillery located in Guadeloupe, an island renowned for the exceptional quality of its sugarcane and its unique terroir. Founded in 1942 by Roger Damoiseau, a passionate former engineer, who purchased the Bellevue estate which was then abandoned. Initially focused on making candies and jams from local products, the distillery quickly specialized in the production of agricole rum, becoming its main activity. In 1968, the family succession was ensured by his son, who developed bulk sales and continued the tradition. Since 1995, Hervé Damoiseau has been running the company with his brother Jean-Luc, master distiller since 1978, while their sister Sandrine manages the brand's promotion and enhancement. The distillery benefits from a sunny microclimate and limestone soil ideal for sugarcane cultivation, guaranteeing superior quality and exceptional rum.
