The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the renowned Speyside region in Scotland. Founded in 1967, this distillery began production in February 1968 with an initial capacity of nearly three million liters of alcohol per year. After a dormancy period in 1985, GlenAllachie experienced a major revival: acquired by Campbell Distillers, then integrated into Pernod Ricard, distillation resumed without interruption from April 24 of that same period, marking 29 years of continuous production. Nicknamed at the time The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky, the distillery established itself as a key player in Scottish whisky. In 2005, Chivas Brothers launched a special GlenAllachie Single Malt edition in its prestigious Cask Edition series. Since 2017, under the passionate leadership of Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson, The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited continues a tradition of excellence, benefiting from over a century of combined expertise in the spirits industry.
This exceptional whisky, distilled on August 13, 2007, comes from a single cask (#804408) of prestigious Pedro Ximénez sherry. It was patiently aged for 15 years before being bottled in July 2023, thus offering unmatched maturity and aromatic richness. A total exclusive of 705 bottles only was produced, making it a rare and precious collector's item.
