The Providence Distillery is located in Port-au-Prince, the vibrant heart of Haiti, a historic cradle of exceptional rum. This prestigious project was born from an exclusive collaboration between the Linge-Barbancourt family, direct heirs of the renowned Haitian Barbancourt rum dynasty, and La Maison & Velier, a unique alliance between La Maison du Whisky, the French leader in spirits, and Velier, a prestigious Italian house. Inaugurated in 2018, Providence is among the newest high-end distilleries in the Caribbean, driven by a clear ambition: to create the best rums by enhancing Cristalline sugarcane and experimenting with innovative and artisanal production methods.
This remarkable edition is made exclusively from Cristalline sugarcane syrup, harvested and distilled in 2020 in a handcrafted Muller bain-marie still, a symbol of traditional know-how. This exceptional rum is the meticulous result of the careful blending of 27 casks originally aged in barrels that previously contained Providence rum, imparting unmatched aromatic depth and gustatory richness.
