Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - Clearach - Magnum 1.5 Litre - 43%
The independent bottler Michel Couvreur originally was a renowned producer and merchant of Burgundy wine. Passionate about exceptional spirits, he turned to the world of whisky in 1978 and made his first distillation at Edradour in 1986. Initially wishing to acquire a distillery in Scotland, circumstances led him and his wife to establish their base in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, a strategic location halfway between Scotland and Andalusia. There, they focus exclusively on the aging and finishing of whiskies, notably in Sherry and Port casks, thus bringing a unique aromatic richness and powerful character to each expression.
The Michel Couvreur range is exceptionally rich, the result of meticulous blending work, a rigorous selection of rare casks, and perfect mastery of innovative techniques to enhance every stage of maturation. Since the founder's death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have passionately and rigorously continued this tradition of excellence and authenticity.
Clearach benefits from at least 3 years of aging in carefully selected Sherry casks, giving it remarkable aromatic depth and complexity, typical of whiskies refined by Michel Couvreur.
Non-Peated – A pure expression of finesse and softness.
