Massenez Distillery - White Cacao Liqueur - 25%
The Massenez Distillery, located in Dieffenbach-au-Val in the heart of Alsace, is a historic house founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a recognized master distiller. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, an exceptional product acclaimed by the Queen of Sweden. Thanks to this reputation, the distillery quickly became the official supplier to the Swedish royal court. Gabriel Eugène, representing the third generation, conquered haute gastronomy by partnering with starred chefs such as Bocuse and prestigious establishments like La Tour d’Argent. Facing growing demand, a new modern distillery opened its doors in 1979. The brand then exported to more than 110 countries and continuously enriched its range of refined spirits and liqueurs. In 2010, Massenez Distillery joined the Grandes Distilleries Peureux group. Bernard Baud, president of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, known notably for their famous Griottines des Vosges, brought new dynamism to Massenez Distillery while preserving the authenticity and ancestral know-how of the house.
A liqueur is defined as a neutral alcohol carefully sweetened and flavored to offer a unique gustatory richness. The fruit cream belongs to this large family of liqueurs but mainly differs by its higher sugar content. Indeed, a traditional liqueur contains a minimum of 100 g of sugar per liter and has an alcohol content between 15 and 55%. Liqueurs with more than 250 grams of sugar per liter are called "creams" because of their smooth and soft texture. Used both in mixology for creating innovative cocktails, as a digestif, or in cooking, fruit liqueurs and creams bring a sophisticated and gourmet touch to culinary and festive pleasures.
