The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, right in the heart of the prestigious wine and spirits region of Alsace. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, the distillery quickly established itself as an essential reference in the world of quality artisanal spirits. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, an exceptional product praised by the Queen of Sweden, who appointed the house as an official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, expanded the distillery's reputation by forging close ties with French haute cuisine, collaborating with renowned starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and prestigious establishments like La Tour d’Argent. Facing sustained growth, a new ultra-modern distillery was inaugurated in 1979, allowing production expansion while maintaining high-quality standards. Today, the brand is distributed in over 110 countries, offering a diverse range of liqueurs and spirits that captivate enthusiasts worldwide. In 2010, a strategic turning point occurred with the integration of the Grandes Distilleries Peureux. Under the leadership of Bernard Baud, a recognized president and creator of the famous Griottines, Massenez Distillery experienced a dynamic renewal while preserving the soul and traditional know-how of the House.

The essential difference between a classic liqueur and a fruit cream lies in the sugar concentration: liqueurs contain a minimum of 100 g\/L of sugar and have an alcohol content between 15 and 55%. In contrast, liqueurs exceeding 250 g\/L of sugar are called "creams."
