Distillerie Massenez - Amaretto Liqueur - 20%
The Distillerie Massenez is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the renowned wine region of Alsace. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, this family-owned house embodies French excellence and artisanal know-how. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, an exceptional product that captivated the Queen of Sweden, thus positioning the distillery as the official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène Massenez, elevated the distillery's reputation by closely collaborating with French haute cuisine, notably with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and prestigious establishments like La Tour d’Argent. Facing sustained growth, a new distillery was established in 1979 to meet increasing demand. Today, the brand is present in over 110 countries and offers a diverse range of exceptional eaux-de-vie and liqueurs. In 2010, Distillerie Massenez partnered with the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, leaders in artisanal production and renowned for their Griottines. Under the presidency of Bernard Baud, this synergy between tradition and modern innovation allows Distillerie Massenez to preserve its unique DNA while energizing its future.
The liqueur is a spirit obtained from a neutral alcohol to which sugar and carefully selected natural flavors are added. Fruit cream, a specific category of liqueurs, is distinguished by its higher sugar content. The main difference between a traditional liqueur and a fruit cream lies in the sugar concentration: a liqueur generally contains a minimum of 100 g\/L of sugar with an alcohol degree ranging between 15 and 55%, while creams often have more than 250 g of sugar per liter, offering unmatched sweetness and roundness. These superior quality products are perfect not only for preparing refined cocktails but also as elegant digestifs or flavorful ingredients in gourmet cooking, enhancing desserts and sophisticated dishes.
