The Arran Malt is a prestigious Single Malt distillery located on the authentic Isle of Arran, in the heart of the picturesque west coast of Scotland. Renowned for the exceptional quality of its whiskies, it offers a wide range of unique expressions and finishes that captivate connoisseurs and enlightened enthusiasts. Founded in 1995, the distillery is ideally situated in the northern part of the island, at Lochranza, in close proximity to Loch na Davie, a source of pure and crystalline water essential to the distillation process. Initially, the grist (ground grain used for the mash) was purchased, but the distillery has equipped itself with an internal mill for optimal quality control. The Arran Malt is recognized for its fresh and tangy aromatic profile, the result of the slow, controlled distillation by traditional stills of this exceptional spirit.

Master of Distilling II represents the second limited edition carefully selected by James MacTaggart, the talented master distiller of Arran. This rare 12-year-old whisky was matured from 2006 in former sherry casks, then enhanced by an additional two years of aging in carefully chosen Palo Cortado sherry casks. This double maturation imparts a complex and elegant aromatic richness to the whisky, combining sweetness, fruity notes, and subtle spices.
