TROIS RIVIERES - Aged Rum - Triple Vintage 1999 / 2000 / 2010 - 42%
At the origin of Trois-Rivières rum, Nicolas Fouquet, superintendent of the crown's finances, was granted a vast 2000-hectare concession in Martinique as early as 1660. After his disgrace, the property changed hands several times before being acquired by three sugar producers in 1770. The estate then established a distillery in 1785 under the impetus of the Marraud des Grottes family. Today, the Chevrillon group oversees this emblematic distillery, although it closed its doors in 2004, with distillation having been transferred to the La Mauny distillery where the estate's historic distillation column is preserved. Trois-Rivières has established itself with a strong brand and a prestigious vintage range, which has greatly contributed to its rise and international reputation. Renowned among the most discerning connoisseurs, Trois-Rivières produces some of the finest aged vintage agricole rums, with iconic references such as the vintages 1953, 1964, 1969, and 1977.
This aged rum triple vintage 1999 - 2000 and 2010 from Trois-Rivières perfectly illustrates the exceptional expertise and spirit of innovation characteristic of the house. Remarkably harmonious, this unique blend of three exceptional vintages is an absolute first in the Martinique terroir, offering a tasting experience of unmatched finesse and richness, reflecting the authenticity and heritage of Martinique distillation.
