Hatozaki is a prestigious Japanese whisky brand, created by the renowned Kaikyō distillery. Located in the picturesque Hyogo region, facing the Seto Inland Sea, the distillery benefits from an exceptional microclimate. Summers are hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 39°C, while winters remain mild and dry. The constant sea breezes that caress the region play a crucial role in the aging of the whisky, promoting the development of rich and unique aromas, typical of the finest Japanese whiskies. The Yonezawa family, pioneers in the art of sake brewing, settled in Akashi since 1856. Building on this long tradition, they began distillation in 1917. A century later, Kimio Yonezawa, a passionate master blender, continues this heritage of excellence. His approach combines rigorous training with fruitful exchanges with Scottish Master Distillers and Blenders, thus contributing to the global rise of Japanese whisky and its international recognition.
Hatozaki Triple Cask is an exceptional whisky, entirely made from malt aged in prestigious Bourbon and Sherry casks. This initial maturation is followed by a delicate finishing in Umeshu casks, which gives this Pure Malt a refined aromatic complexity, blending fruity sweetness with deep woody notes.
