The Arran Malt is an iconic Scottish Single Malt distillery, located on the beautiful Isle of Arran, on the picturesque west coast of Scotland. Renowned for its artisanal craftsmanship, it offers a wide range of finely crafted whiskies, with various unique expressions and finishes. Founded in 1995, the distillery is ideally situated in the north of the island, at Lochranza, near Loch na Davie, the natural source of pure water used for production. Initially reliant on purchased malted barley, it now has its own mill, ensuring full control over the quality of the grist – this ground grain mixed with hot water to create the mash base. Arran single malt is appreciated for its fresh and tangy flavor profile, a direct result of slow and controlled distillation using traditional indirect-heated pot stills.
This exceptional expression from Arran comes from an exclusive Single Cask (#2009\/936), carefully selected by the expert team at La Maison du Whisky. Distilled on December 14, 2009, this unique whisky has been carefully aged for 14 years in a re-fill sherry cask, imparting rich aromas and remarkable complexity. Bottled on July 4, 2024, this limited edition comprises only 273 numbered bottles, making this vintage a true treasure for enthusiasts and collectors.
