Cognac Jean Luc Pasquet - Folle Blanche Organic - 10 years - Lot XII - 49.3%
The prestigious Cognac House Pasquet is located at Chez Ferchaud-Eraville, in Bellevigne in the Charente region, renowned for its exceptional terroirs. In 1970, Jean-Luc Pasquet inherited from his uncle Albert and took over the family estate, which then covered 8 hectares of vineyards situated in Grande and Petite Champagne, two of the most renowned crus of Cognac. Since 1995, the estate has expanded to 14 hectares and cultivates its vineyards with certified organic farming, thus guaranteeing the quality, biodiversity, and sustainability of its productions. The traditional 20-hectoliter still allows obtaining eaux-de-vie that are fine, complex, and rich, resulting from a rigorous double distillation. These eaux-de-vie are then aged for a minimum of 4 years in oak barrels, two years longer than the regulation requires to obtain the prestigious Cognac appellation. Today, the House is proudly led by Jean Pasquet accompanied by his wife Amy, originally from the United States, who brings new energy to this family business.
La Folle Blanche is an exceptional cognac made exclusively from the Folle Blanche grape variety, a rare and noble variety grown in Grande Champagne, the premier cru of Cognac known for its chalky soils and unique aromatic potential. This cognac is aged for a minimum of 10 years in French oak barrels and red barrels, which gives this eau-de-vie an exceptional gustatory complexity, a perfect balance between freshness, finesse, and aromatic intensity. Ideal for tasting neat or in high-end cocktails, this organic Cognac represents, according to Clos des Spiritueux, a true reference for enthusiasts seeking authenticity and excellent terroir.
