Cognac GROSPERRIN - Borderies - No. 70 - Lot No. 991 - 49.5%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after having worked various jobs such as agricultural worker, shepherd, and sheep shearer in summer. From 1992, he became a countryside broker, meeting small vineyard estates in the region to find the rarest and most authentic cognac lots. In 1999, Jean Grosperrin took a decisive turn by acquiring several casks of old cognacs, marking the beginning of the Grosperrin Cognacs adventure, combined with his traditional know-how and his three stills. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over the reins of the company. He then built precious stocks and enriched the cellars with exceptional cognacs. Furthermore, he rigorously selects plots and establishes privileged contracts with local winegrowers to guarantee optimal quality. In 2012, Guilhem met with foreign importers and developed a dynamic network of knowledgeable enthusiasts and passionate collectors, spreading the unique reputation of Grosperrin Cognacs internationally.
This Cognac Borderies No.70 comes from an exceptional lot purchased from a retired winegrower settled in Burie, on one of the best slopes of Borderies, known for its clay-limestone soils favoring the finesse and elegance of the eaux-de-vie. This lot was carefully preserved in memory of his long years of meticulous work. Maison Grosperrin was able to acquire this rare lot thanks to a broker maintaining longstanding and trusting relations with this passionate producer, thus guaranteeing an authentic origin and a cognac of remarkable quality, appreciated by connoisseurs.
