Izarra is an iconic artisanal liqueur, created in 1906 in Hendaye, in the heart of the Basque Country, by Joseph Grattau, a passionate botanist and pharmacist. This unique liqueur is made from a natural distillate, rich in aromatic plants, carefully selected spices, as well as two traditional macerations based on prunes and walnut husks. After a meticulous distillation in a copper still, the distillate is harmoniously blended with aged Armagnac, complemented by a subtle touch of sugar for perfect balance.

For the exquisite Izarra Yellow, the final blend includes the delicate addition of natural honey, which enhances the flavors derived from the different macerations in alcohol and Armagnac. This authentic process gives Izarra Yellow its generous character, complex aroma, and unparalleled taste palette, making this liqueur a must-have for lovers of exceptional spirits.
