Cognac Jean Luc Pasquet - Claude's Cognac - Vintage 1964 - 47.4%
The prestigious Cognac House Pasquet is ideally located at Chez Ferchaud-Eraville, in Bellevigne, right in the heart of the Charente, a region worldwide renowned for producing exceptional cognac. Since 1970, Jean-Luc Pasquet has taken over the family estate after inheriting it from his uncle Albert, developing a winemaking tradition that now spans 14 hectares in Grande and Petite Champagne, the most prized crus of Cognac. Since 1995, the vineyard has been cultivated with certified organic farming, ensuring natural eaux-de-vie, environmentally respectful and offering incomparable taste quality. Distillation is carried out using a 20-hectoliter copper still, allowing a meticulous double distillation that produces fine, elegant eaux-de-vie rich in aromas. These cognacs are then aged for a minimum of 4 years in oak barrels, providing careful refinement, 2 years longer than the legal minimum required by regulations, to obtain the prestigious "Cognac" appellation. Today, the Pasquet House is passionately led by Jean Pasquet and his wife Amy, originally from the United States, who continue the excellence and ancestral know-how of the Charente terroir.
The exclusive Trésors de Famille collection, launched in 2018, was born from a desire to showcase rare cognacs amid a temporary shortage of old vintages. The Pasquet family works closely with passionate distillers who hold true "hidden treasures" in their cellars from the best years. A single unique barrel is carefully selected among these enthusiasts to continue its aging within the Pasquet House cellars, guaranteeing uncompromising quality and authenticity. Each bottle, in a limited and numbered edition, proudly bears the first name of the producer who contributed to its creation. The famous Claude's Cognac, symbolizing this exceptional expertise, comes exclusively from the Grande Champagne cru, a true reference among cognac crus, with a very limited production of only 377 bottles for this Lot 64. This exceptional vintage, at 47.4% alcohol, will delight connoisseurs and demanding enthusiasts seeking a cognac with a unique and complex character.
