Grosperrin - Orange Liqueur - batch no. 1068 - 40%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, a passionate individual who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working as a farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. From 1992, he became a country broker, rigorously exploring small local farms in search of the rarest and most authentic cognac lots. In 1999, he took a decisive step by acquiring several casks of exceptional old cognacs. Combined with his three traditional stills, this marked the beginning of the unique adventure of Grosperrin Cognacs. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over the reins of the company and dedicated himself to building precious stocks while enriching the cellars with exceptional Cognacs. He rigorously selects the parcels and establishes exclusive contracts with renowned winegrowers. In 2012, Guilhem expanded the reach of the Maison by meeting foreign importers to develop a wide network of knowledgeable enthusiasts and passionate collectors.
The Orange d’Or liqueur is a rare and refined blend of exceptional spirits, combining natural essences of bitter oranges, sugar, very old Armagnacs, French Brandy, and high-quality Cognac. This elixir is aged for a minimum of 3 years in ex-American Bourbon barrels, giving the liqueur an unparalleled aromatic complexity and richness. After this aging, the liqueur is delicately racked off, then undergoes a meticulous maceration in a small vat with Burgundy blackcurrant buds, bringing finesse and nobility to this unique creation. Finally, the bottles rest for several months in the cellar, ensuring perfect balance before being released on the market.
