Cognac GROSPERRIN - Petite Champagne - 12 years - Lot No. 1066 - 50.90%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991, after working in land-related jobs such as farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. In 1992, he became a countryside broker, traveling through the small terroirs of the region to discover the rarest and most authentic lots. Then, in 1999, he took a new step by acquiring several casks of old cognacs, marking the beginning of the Cognacs Grosperrin adventure, strengthened by the use of his three traditional pot stills. In 2004, his son Guilhem Grosperrin took over the reins of the house, greatly expanding the cellars and building an impressive stock of exceptional cognacs. He emphasized the rigorous selection of parcels, established exclusive contracts with meticulous winegrowers, and developed a brand synonymous with quality and authenticity. From 2012 onward, he actively engaged with foreign importers, thus establishing a solid network of passionate enthusiasts and collectors of exceptional cognacs worldwide.
This Petite Champagne Cognac of great finesse, aged 12 years, comes from a small family estate located in the commune of Sainte-Lheurine, in the heart of the prestigious Petite Champagne region, renowned for its limestone soils that produce elegant and refined eaux-de-vie. This cognac was aged for a long time in a small traditional cellar with beaten earth floors, ensuring slow and harmonious aging, before joining the impressive Grosperrin cellars in Saintes, where ancestral know-how is perpetuated with passion and rigor.
