Cognac GROSPERRIN - Fins Bois 1961 - No. 61 - Lot 728 - 43.8%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working various rural jobs such as farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. In 1992, he became a country broker, traveling the region to find the most precious lots of cognac from small vineyard estates. In 1999, he took a decisive turn by acquiring several casks of old cognacs, thus giving birth to the Grosperrin Cognac adventure, combining tradition and expertise within its three stills. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over the company, expanding the stocks and enriching the cellars with exceptional eaux-de-vie. He carefully selects vineyard plots and establishes contracts with passionate winegrowers. From 2012 onwards, he developed a strong international network, meeting foreign importers and bringing together a growing community of cognac enthusiasts and collectors.
This Fins Bois Cognac No. 61 is a historical rarity, produced in the commune of Réparsac, in the heart of the Fins Bois appellation, known for its clay-limestone terroirs. It comes from a retired winegrower whose main activity was nursery work, supplemented by other jobs related to viticulture. This lot represents his oldest cognac, carefully preserved as a memory of his first harvest, symbolizing the authenticity and richness of the Charente vineyard heritage.
